We have seen many reports about the Amazon’s rumoured smartphone so far but there was no concrete physical evidence to support these claims until now. Thanks to BGR, the first images of the Amazon smartphone are here.

These images show the much-rumoured Amazon premium smartphone with 3D display. Not much can be seen on physical side of the device as it is in a protective shell to hide the actual design of the phone. The images still confirm some previously rumoured details like the presence of multiple cameras on the front of the phone to help with output of the 3D display.

According to BGR, the Amazon smartphone packs a total of six cameras including the usual two rear and front cameras. The other four cameras are actually low-power infrared cameras, which along with the sensors present in the phone, will help the phone’s software to make constant adjustments to the positioning of on-screen elements, altering the perspective of visuals on the screen. This is the first time we are seeing the use of such technology in smartphones to present 3D images.

Among other details, the phone is said to feature a 4.7-inch 720p HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 2GB of RAM and 13MP rear camera.
Amazon is reportedly working with developers to make applications that can fully take advantage of the 3D display and interface. There is no clarity on when the smartphone will be announced but as per a recent WSJ report, it should be unveiled in June with September availability. BGR adds that Amazon is also working on a budget smartphone, which will released soon after the 3D smartphone.
